This week has been pretty slow... literally!

I know I just sent an e-mail a few days ago so I'll be quick :)

Things of importance:

We had the baptism for Raimundo. He had already been attending seminary and playing soccer at the church for a while, and so it was awesome teaching him and helping him to get to know more about the gospel. He still has so much more to learn, but don't we all? But he is awesome.

We had a lesson with a guy who knew a lot about different churches and religions. He was interested in learning more about The Church of Jesus Christ, and who better to talk with than us, the missionaries? 
 
But It is nice to see someone interested in learning more, as there are countless people who don't know and aren't interested in knowing. That's ok, until you realize how important the gospel of Jesus Christ is. What it means, and the many questions it gives us answers to. But hey, agency, free will for all. 

Today I and the other 3 missionaries here went back into the park near our house. Today we sadly did not see any monkeys. On the other hand, we saw more birds, including Buzzards (all I think about when I see them is the Disney animated Robin hood Movie). We also saw 2 Sloths 🦥  . Honestly cool for a minute, and then not. One was giving himself a backrub!

Anyways that's about it. 

The gospel of Jesus Christ changes all who accept it. It makes us better, helps us become more than we could be, through HIM. Through Jesus Christ!

 So that's my invite. Let Jesus Christ into YOUR life. Let him change you for the better.

 Monday, April 8, 2024; Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil: Olá pessoal, tudo bem com vocês? Esta semana passada foi boa, com duas conferências, serviço, devotional e uma surpresa! Last Monday all the missionaries in Manaus had a devotional with the Manaus Temple President, President Milder. He gave a superb devotional on Jesus Christ and his Atonement for us.  Other things that happened: -We had Zone Conference this week -Tried sushi for maybe the first time... yeah, I'm not a fish guy -Did a service project for an awesome family -Some awesome sunsets this week -Lots of rain too -General Conference was interrupted by a car playing music super loud in the street As my comp and I were walking along, I subconsciously saw IT. Right after my companion pointed it out, and then my brain finally realized what it was, and I literally jumped away from it. An Iguana. This one living though. Super busy week, Cuban dude, Games...

 Monday, May 20, 2024; Porte Velho, Rondonia, Brazil: This week was super busy. That's a good thing and a bad thing . Lots to do and it kept us busy.  Some of the days this week were super packed with lessons and visits. Because of distance and poor planning on our part (though gotta talk to those who are interested) we played a game of "can we beat the time Google maps says it takes to walk from one place to another." Sometimes we won, other times, we lost Also, the people in this city decided to play some jokes on us and make sure that those interested in talking to us live as far apart from each other as possible We had a member throw a joint birthday party for a friend combined with a welcome party for my companion and me.  Monday, June 3, 2024; Porte Velho, Rondonia, Brazil: This past week was pretty normal, had its highs and lows. I think I need to be more grateful, and that will help me be happier .  Just one month until my mission will divide in half! Elder Pohm and I walked a ton this week as usual. We also played that game, "How fast can we beat the Google maps time". Now that 'long 30-minute walk' is 'pretty close'. We had a Family Home Evening with an awesome family this week. I led the activity; one my family sometimes did for family night that I loved. You get a piece of paper, divide it in thirds top to bottom. Everyone designs a head of sorts on the top third, with a few lines going to the second section. Then you fold it over so the first part can't be seen. Then you pass it to the person on your right. That person has a few lines to connect to the head, and they draw a body, arms, etc. Then they fold that part so that only the last section is visible and pass i
